Claudia Samano-Losada

Owner/Artistic Director/Instructor

Claudia is a movement educator with a degree in Dance Movement Therapy. Certified Early Childhood Education Practitioner, Dance,Yoga and Fitness Certified Instructor. She is also a Children and Senior Fitness Specialist, Rhythm Works Integrative Dance certified instructor and certified in Essentials of Massage and bodywork. Certified Life Coach. Choreographer since 1997. Born and raised in Mexico city. She has studied in Mexico, the United Kingdom and the U.S. Teaching Dance and Movement since 1994. Her 25 years of experience as an Instructor, her personal experience with special needs population and her Spanish native language heritage, have led her passion to create, teach, coach and share with the people around her, -all ages- all needs- a new way to learn and understand their own abilities through movement. She teaches Modern dance, Lyrical, Jazz, Movement therapy, Yoga, Dance for special needs, Dance workouts, and bilingual programs. She has participated and directed numerous recitals, events and performances since 1994. In 2001, she was chosen to play a role as a Belly dancer in the Metro- Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) film called "Original Sin", starring Angelina Julie & Antonio Banderas. She has volunteered at the Oak Harbor WA School District, teaching movement, Spanish and bilingual programs since 2009. She has  volunteered/worked at the City's Whidbey Playhouse collaborating and co-choreographing musical theater local productions: "Spamalot" 2015, "Pirates of Penzance" 2015, "South Pacific" 2016, "Beehive" 2017, and "The Producers" 2018. She offers different programs through the year to the Skagit region public libraries (Sno-Isle Libraries) and dance/fitness programs at Retirement Centers in the community. She is a member of the local PRIME TIME Humanities Washington team in Oak Harbor SnoIsle library, working in conjunction with OH School District in a literacy family program.

She volunteers and collaborates with the non-profit organizations: Positively linked, YOUTHnited, Whidbey Has Talent (WHT), NorthWest Language Academy Cultural Center (NWLACC) and PAMI (Spanish Speaking families with special need children) in Oak Harbor and Whidbey Island Wa.

She is the founder of BLIMP -Bilingual Integrated Learning Movement-Program based in cultural/movement/music education. Founder of "Cross-cultural World in motion" program offering support and information about language/multiculturalism/cultural intelligence to families and students. And Integrative Practices, where she offers support and coaching to groups and individuals through movement, meditation, and instrospection on-line and in seat.

She is also an Oak Harbor's SnoIsle Library Board Member and member of Soroptimist International in Oak Harbor.


Claudia is the owner, artistic director and Instructor at In Motion Co.

Miguel, Navy Veteran with an Associates of Science degree in Electronics and a Bachelors degree in International Business Management. He is a an Entrepreneur by nature. An enthusiast in Astronomy, History, Geography, Languages, Arts, Culture, Soccer and Education. He has five yrs of  experience as a children soccer coach, and 23 years of business experience and administration. His passion and perseverance have taken him to explore countries and cultures through his entire life. Willysha D Shaw-Parker

Cheer leading, Hip-Hop, Dance.

Willysha (Willy) Shaw-Parker is a long time resident of Whidbey Island‘s Oak harbor, WA. She has been dancing and cheerleading since the age of 6. Growing up as an inner city youth in Colorado she has participated in a variety of sports and activities such as volleyball, golf, hockey, football, basketball, softball, competitive dance teams, cheerleading, drama, musical productions, Shakespeare festivals, city wide choirs and symphony orchestras. After moving to Whidbey Island during her high school years she joined the varsity cheerleading squad at our local Oak Harbor High School where she was captain for multiple seasons. Willy attended Southwestern Oregon Comm. College with a cheer and dance scholarship where she studied early childhood education and music theory. Willy also studied small business management and entrepreneurship at Community College of Aurora. She is the owner of 2 small businesses and continues to strive to uplift the community. “As a mother of four young girls I recognize the need for activities catered to them! I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to pass along my knowledge and love for cheerleading and dance to the youth in my community! GO PANTHERS!”

Daunne Bacon Zinger

Tap & Jazz

 Daunne has been dancing since she was eight years old, first starting with Ballet and then moving into Jazz. She taught Jazz Dance briefly in the mid 70’s.  After a 30-year career in Construction Management, she retired and obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Dance from the University of Washington.  Since that time she has taught a variety of dance classes on Whidbey Island, including Jazz, Tap, Creative Movement and Choreography Workshops.  

She teaches several types of water aerobics classes and various Zumba classes on Whidbey Island and Seattle. She has been a choreographer for Whidbey Playhouse in Oak Harbor since 2008 and was recently selected to choreograph for Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley. Daunne owns a Bachelor of Arts Degree with minors in Dance and Music – University of Northern Colorado 1976 – Dance specialties :Luigi jazz, Graham Modern, Contact Improvisation and Choreography. She played Chorus dancer and soloist for Black Arts West, dance company of Black Arts West Theatre Group. Seattle, WA 1974-75. She was a Jazz instructor for Experimental College, University of Washington 1976-78. She owns a Master’s Degree in Public Administration – University of Washington 1981.

 Participated in: Summer Integrated Dance Intensives – AXIS Dance Company, Oakland CA  2006, 2007.

Qualified to teach Integrated dance for Physically Challenged/Special Needs dancers. Aquatics Exercise Association Certification since 2010. 

Licensed Zumba Gold, Aqua Zumba, ZIC instructor since 2009.

Priya Unni

BollyX, Zumba. Adult Workouts

Priya Unni has been passionate about dancing all her life. Now a mom and a wife she wanted to start teaching Zumba and BollyX for everyone. Growing up in the Bay Area Priya has picked up different dance styles from other instructors and also incorporates her own style and flare into her dancing. 
Life has taken her to Washington State Oak Harbor when her husband joined the military and she now wants to teach dancing to those on the island who want to experience a different style and Californian vibe! 
Priya is currently certified in BollyX and Zumba fitness. 

Luz Hancock

Luz is a Yoga practitioner since 2006.
Focusing on deepening her practice in 2017 with the certification in The Science of Yoga with 350 hours of training in Hatha Raja Yoga with Shyam Ashram, emphasizing restorative and children's yoga.
Participating as a teacher several open yoga events (yoga at the Cali-Colombia park), as a yoga instructor for children.
By the hand of Ajani Yoga, with Professor Nathaly Fuentes sharing Hatha yoga practices in different spaces within the city of Cali.
Certified in Kundalini Yoga in 2017 in Happy Yoga -Cali, Colombia.
Sadhana practitioner, with study of body anatomy and practices of Bhakti yoga and jnana yoga. Sharing practice in Happy Yoga Cali after teacher training.

Keri Wade

Mindful Fitness - Yoga TuneUp, Roll Model Method,  Mobility, Meditation, Self Massage


Keri Wade is a mom, movement educator, and agent of change.  

Through life experiences such as a near paralyzation, Keri has first hand knowledge of how important movement is to a person’s overall well being.  After the death of her husband in Iraq, Keri turned to fitness as career possibility but was at a loss as to how to help deal with the frequency and variety of pain and injury that is common among people today.  Since 2011, Keri has been seeking out health and fitness professionals that teach specifically about movement from a restorative perspective.  Keri now teaches about increasing mobility and stability through education, restorative movement, and self-massage.  Her classes are focused on helping introduce people to self-care opportunities that they may incorporate at home and in time increase their resiliency to life in general.  


Keri is currently a certified Yoga Tune Up and Roll Model Method teacher, certified in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), and a current Restorative Exercise Specialist student with Nutritious Movement Center in Sequim Washington.  In addiion to her current certifications Keri has held certifications and/or attended trainings with CrossFit, Functional Movement Systems (FMS), and Original Strength.  

Keri also enjoys raising her children, tending to her home, and exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. 


Tessa Kamo

Belly Dancing. Shimmy Mob Whidbey Island Coordinator.


Tessa Karno is a belly dance enthusiast and costume maker, Tessa Karno started dancing late in life while living in the beautiful bohemian hippie enclave of Topanga Canyon, CA. After falling in love with the beauty and form of belly dance, Tessa studied under several prominent teachers in Los Angeles and Las Vegas while designing costumes, before evolving to help choreograph many of the routines performed in local festivals and events. 
In 2015, Tessa became involved with Shimmy Mob and, after moving to Whidbey Island in 2017, she contacted Shimmy Mob headquarters, registered Whidbey Island under “Langley, WA, USA” and took on the role of team leader, teaching participants the dances organizing the first Shimmy Mob on Whidbey Island.

Shimmy Mobis an international belly dance flash mob held annually in support of victims of abuse worldwide. Going into its 10thanniversary year, Shimmy Mob is held annually on the second Saturday in May, World Bellydance Day. Teams of belly dancers around the world dance the same choreography to the same music to raise awareness and funds for local women’s shelters.
Tessa Karno, mother of two sons,  and grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters, currently lives in Clinton with her husband and rescued dog.
