Claudia Samano-Losada

Owner/Artistic Director/Instructor

Claudia, is a  movement educator with a degree in Movement Therapy, certified Early Childhood Education Practitioner, Dance,Yoga and Fitness Certified Instructor is also a Children and Senior Fitness Specialist, Rhythm Works Integrative Dance certified instructor and certified in Essentials of Massage and body work. Choreographer since 1997. Born and raised in Mexico city. She has studied in Mexico, the United Kingdom and the U.S. Teaching Dance and Movement since 1994. Her 23 years of experience as an Instructor, her personal experience with special needs population and her Spanish native language heritage, have led her passion to create, teach and share with the people around her, -all ages- all needs- a new way to learn and understand their own abilities through movement. She teaches Modern dance, Lyrical, Jazz, Movement therapy, Yoga, Dance for special needs (Bright stars/Rhythm works), Dance workouts, and bilingual programs. She has participated and directed numerous recitals, events and performances since 1994. In 2001, she was chosen to play a roll as a Belly dancer in the Metro- Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) film called "Original Sin", starring Angelina Julie & Antonio Banderas. She has volunteered at the Oak Harbor WA School District, teaching movement, Spanish and bilingual programs since 2009. Currently volunteering/working at the City's Whidbey Playhouse collaborating and co-choreographing musical theater local producations: "Spamalot" 2015, "Pirates of Penzance" 2015, "South Pacific" 2016, "Beehive" 2017, and  "The Producers" 2018. She offers different programs through the year to the Skagit region public libraries (Sno-Isle Libraries) and dance/fitness programs at Retirement Centers in the community. She is a member of the local PRIME TIME Humanities Washington in Oak Harbor SnoIsle library, working in conjunction with OH School District in a literacy family program.

She volunters and collaborates with the non-profit organizations: "Positively linked" , "YOUTHnited", "Whidbey Has Talent" (WHT) and "PAMI "(Spanish Speaking families with special need children) in Oak Harbor Wa.

She is the founder of BILMP -Bilingual Integrated Learning Movement-Program based in cultural/movement/music education. Founder of "Multicultural World"/'Mundo Multicultural" program offering support and information about language/multiculturalism/cultural intelligence to families and students. She has recenly gotten the position of an Oak Harbor's SnoIsle Library Board Member.

Claudia, is the owner, artistic director and Instructor at In Motion Co.

Miguel Losada

Miguel, Navy Veteran with an Associates of Science degree in Electronics and a Bachelors degree in International Business Management. He is a an Entrepreneur by nature. An enthusiast in Astronomy, History, Geography, Languages, Arts, Culture, Soccer and Education. He has five yrs of  experience as a children soccer coach, and 23 years of business experience and administration. His passion and perseverance have taken him to explore countries and cultures through his entire life. Miguel owns an Iberian bistro and importer in WA state. He is the Adminsitrative Manager and Co-owner of In Motion Co.

Melissa Carmichael

Melissa started dance at the age of three and Gimnastics at the age of five. She has 15 years of experience in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pom, Lyrical and Hip-Hop and over 10 years of experience in Gymnastics. She competed for several years at Simmonds Performing Arts, Hendersonville Jefferson, IN. and Southern Indiana Gymnastics school. She was part of the Wildfire dance team for Louisville Arena Football and choreographed for the Indiana University, SE's  team. Melissa has a Health background from Dental Careers of Southern Indiana, Jeffersonville, IN. and an Early Childhood Education background from Indiana University Southeast, New Albany.

 

Miranda Gonzalez

Ballet, Pre-Ballet, Creative dance, Contemporary dance, Lyrical

Miranda is from Jupiter, Florida where she began her dance training at age three. Her formal training in ballet, jazz, tap, and modern continued through her high school years when she attended the Dreyfoos School of the Arts as a dance major. From there, Miranda went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from The Florida State University. While at FSU Miranda was both a member and a captain of a student run team which focused on contemporary dance. After graduating, Miranda worked as a museum educator. During her time as an educator she discovered a great passion for teaching and inspiring young people in a fun and creative environment. Her happy marriage to a Naval aviator has led Miranda to her new home here in Oak Harbor. She is thrilled to be a part of the community and IMC family. “I am so excited to combine my love of dance with my passion for educating in order to serve my community and further the mission of In Motion Company!”

Danyel Albrecht

Jazz Funk, Hip-hop

Danyel started gymnastic classes when she was five.  Little did she know it would become her life. She ate, slept and played
Gymnastics, choreographing many floor routines. By 12, she joined a competitive gymnastic team in the Bay Area, advancing to Level 8 team.  Her high school didnt have a gymnastics team but they did have a performing dance team.  It was an easy transition, as she had years of experience performing floor routines in gymnastics.  She became captain of the dance team throughout her high school years.  After getting married and moving to Spain, she taught Ballet, Pre-Ballet Jazz, Jazz Funk, and Hip Hop to children aged (3-15).  Dancing and choreography has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember.  She  loves sharing her passion with her students.  
 

Daunne Bacon Zinger

Tap & Jazz

 Daunne has been dancing since she was eight years old, first starting with Ballet and then moving into Jazz.  She taught Jazz Dance briefly in the mid 70’s.  After a 30-year career in Construction Management, she retired and obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Dance from the University of Washington.  Since that time she has taught a variety of dance classes on Whidbey Island, including Jazz, Tap, Creative Movement and Choreography Workshops.  

She teaches several types of water aerobics classes and various Zumba classes on Whidbey Island and Seattle. She has been a choreographer for Whidbey Playhouse in Oak Harbor since 2008 and was recently selected to choreograph for Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley. Daunne owns a Bachelor of Arts Degree with minors in Dance and Music – University of Northern Colorado 1976 – Dance specialties :Luigi jazz, Graham Modern, Contact Improvisation and Choreography. She played Chorus dancer and soloist for Black Arts West, dance company of Black Arts West Theatre Group. Seattle, WA 1974-75. She was a Jazz instructor for Experimental College, University of Washington 1976-78. She owns a Master’s Degree in Public Administration – University of Washington 1981.

 Participated in: Summer Integrated Dance Intensives – AXIS Dance Company, Oakland CA  2006, 2007.

Qualified to teach Integrated dance for Physically Challenged/Special Needs dancers. Aquatics Exercise Association Certification since 2010.

Jenny Glownia

Hip- Hop, Funk, St. Jazz

Jenny is a multi-passionate individual. She's a U.S. Navy Veteran with a Master's Degree in Business Administration and an Bachelor's of Science in Human Services. After serving 7 years in the Navy as an Air Traffic Controller, she decided to relentlessly pursue her lifelong dream of serving people. This led her to work in management and training positions at top tech corporations, to working as a caseworker for nonprofit organizations, to working in the health and wellness industry as a personal fitness trainer. This is where she re-discovered her childhood passion for dance, as she grew up in a family of dancers and performed in several dance teams since early childhood (drill team, Polynesian dance, African dance, Prehispanic dance, traditional Mexican folkloric dance, hip hop crews, show choir ). Jenny was even a performer in the military as she was in an official U.S. Navy highly choreographed flag performance unit. She began teaching several formats of dance fitness to a wide range of participants while in the fitness industry, which eventually led her to this amazing opportunity to share her love of dance with a younger generation. She's an active volunteer in the community, constantly lending her talents to fundraising efforts in Oak Harbor and the greater Seattle area. 
 
Jenny holds fitness certifications through ISSA (International Sports Science Association), AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America), Zumba, Mixxedfit (AFAA Provider), Commit Dance Fitness (AFAA Provider), Fitour (AFAA Provider), Eat the Frog Fitness Coach."

Keri Wade

Keri Wade is a mom, movement educator, and agent of change.  
Through life experiences such as a near paralyzation, Keri has first hand knowledge of how important movement is to a person’s overall well being.  After the death of her husband in Iraq, Keri turned to fitness as career possibility but was at a loss as to how to help deal with the frequency and variety of pain and injury that is common among people today.  Since 2011, Keri has been seeking out health and fitness professionals that teach specifically about movement from a restorative perspective.  Keri now teaches about increasing mobility and stability through education, restorative movement, and self-massage.  Her classes are focused on helping introduce people to self-care opportunities that they may incorporate at home and in time increase their resiliency to life in general.  
 
Keri is currently a certified Yoga Tune Up and Roll Model Method teacher, certified in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), and a current Restorative Exercise Specialist student with Nutritious Movement Center in Sequim Washington.  In addiion to her current certifications Keri has held certifications and/or attended trainings with CrossFit, Functional Movement Systems (FMS), and Original Strength.  
Keri also enjoys raising her children, tending to her home, and exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. 

 

Gaby Armendariz

 Gaby was born in Costa Rica and raised in Louisiana. She arned her B.S. in Sports Administration from Louisiana State University (LSU). 
Certified Personal Trainer through American College of Sports Medicine  (ACSM), Fitness Nutrition Specialist through (ACE) and Pre/Post Natal. Fitness Specialist Certified with AFPA. She has a desire to help empower 
others by providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. This has inspired her to pursue her Masters of Science in Exercise Science which she currently enjoys doing.

Vanessa Hidalgo Bartlett

Vanessa holds the title of Paraeducator. She is a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in Spain. Her personal experience and special interest for academics has taken her to the path of education since 2004, volunteering at a variety of public schools in Oak Harbor District.

In 2009 she started her carrer as substitute and, after two years, her impacable job, led her to a full time title I paraeducator opportunity position as well a Spanish interpreter for Spanish speaking families at Oak Harbor school district, which she has fullfill the last two years. 

Vanessa has worked as a primary assistant and organizer at a fulltime weekly Spanish Summer Camps in Langley and Oak Harbor for the past two years.

Vanessa is an Instructor of our Bilingual classes and Summer Camps and the assistant/instuctor of our Special needs movement and dance programs at In Motion Co.

Masami was born and raised in Yokosuka,Japan, she moved to Oak Harbor due to military at the beginning of 2011. She is a mother of two, who 's tried her very best to raise bilingual. She is very excited for the opportunity to help shape young minds and help them prosper and to start her career in education at In Motion Co. learning center.
