A local from Whidbey Island, Kylene Ayer has returned from Central Washington University with two high honor Bachelor’s degrees, one in Dance and one in Psychology. Spending three years with the Orchesis Dance Company and two with the Central Washington Dance Ensemble she performed in 10 major productions. Her favorite, due to the amount of creativity and originality required between music and movement, was based on the popular Magic Tree House book series. Trained earliest in ballroom dance, hip-hop, jazz, and tumbling, these are the areas she feels most confident, but is familiar with many other styles. Dance is most invigorating when she can learn from someone new or dance an unfamiliar style and bring it back to the classroom. She believes movement is therapy and embodies it by hiking, rock climbing, and running as well as attending yoga, Bar Method, and CrossFit classes. Kylene also likes to read, sunbathe, and explore new towns with friends and family.

Miranda is from Jupiter, Florida where she began her dance training at age three. Her formal training in ballet, jazz, tap, and modern continued through her high school years when she attended the Dreyfoos School of the Arts as a dance major. From there, Miranda went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from The Florida State University. While at FSU Miranda was both a member and a captain of a student run team which focused on contemporary dance. After graduating, Miranda worked as a museum educator. During her time as an educator she discovered a great passion for teaching and inspiring young people in a fun and creative environment. Her happy marriage to a Naval aviator has led Miranda to her new home here in Oak Harbor.
