A local from Whidbey Island, Kylene Ayer has returned from Central Washington University with two high honor Bachelor’s degrees, one in Dance and one in Psychology. Spending three years with the Orchesis Dance Company and two with the Central Washington Dance Ensemble she performed in 10 major productions. Her favorite, due to the amount of creativity and originality required between music and movement, was based on the popular Magic Tree House book series. Trained earliest in ballroom dance, hip-hop, jazz, and tumbling, these are the areas she feels most confident, but is familiar with many other styles. Dance is most invigorating when she can learn from someone new or dance an unfamiliar style and bring it back to the classroom. She believes movement is therapy and embodies it by hiking, rock climbing, and running as well as attending yoga, Bar Method, and CrossFit classes. Kylene also likes to read, sunbathe, and explore new towns with friends and family. Kaylene also owns a degree in Spanish. She resided in Puerto Rico and Costa Rica inmersed in culture, language and dance.
"In Motion is the place where I want to be, share and create. It is the place that I always dreamed to be part of" ~Kylene.
